Creates a fast paced match with nearly every character. Great move list for nearly all of the characters. Fantastic announcer's voice, deep and menacing. Some very cool in-game voices (though the acting for the main story is mediocre at best, as expected). Pros: - Solid graphics and animations for all of the characters. Especially since you can get some trade in value when you've played the game and seen how underwhelming it really is, and the magic is over. However, now that the price has come down to a comical level, it's not as bad. If I had paid that much for it, I'd want to fatality myself. Overall Review: When this game was new, it was $59.99. I don't know how they managed that, but they did it well. Honestly, the longer you play, the worse it gets. There are a lot of good characters missing from the roster. Be prepared to wait 30 seconds for anything you do, usually with a bland picture of a Mortal Kombat character staring at a DC character who looks equally confused. The fatalities look like they are half finished. All of the faces look like mongoloids and the bodies are horribly mis-proportioned. The graphics on this game are mediocre at best. 2 player mode is OK, but even then it's not comparable to other fighting games that are out there right now. The game basically becomes you running from the computer player and getting countered every time you push a button. They started this with MKII and haven't changed it since. Super easy for the first few stages, then impossible for the next ones. The price on this game has dropped tremendously.Ĭons: Arcade mode is garbage with typical Mortal Kombat AI. If you're a big fan of either franchise you should be happy about that. Pros: It's a Mortal Kombat game with DC characters in it.
